Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 02, 2000
Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at nine a.m. October 02, 2000, with
the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the
Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas,
to begin on October 02, 2000, at 9:00 a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve Minutes of September 18,
2000.
County Engineer
- Consider awarding bids for Rip Rap.
- Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the hot mix Overlay of
Denman's Loop.
- Discuss and consider authorizing County Engineer to negotiate with Mr. Don Durrand
regarding the closure of access to rental property on South Ridge Drive and making certain
improvements to an existing driveway and Parking lot to provide alternate access.
- Consider authorizing County
Engineer to advertise for bids for crushed Aggregate for 2001 seal coating program.
- Consider renaming "Canyon
Heights Drive" in Arbor Heights Subdivision to "South Canyon Heights
Drive."
- Consider authorizing County
Engineer to advertise for annual bids for metal Culvert, fuel, reinforcing steel, and
crushed limestone base material.
- Personnel.
Recognize Commissioner Leroy Schiller for his receiving a Certificate of
Achievement for the County Judge's and Commissioners Association for completion of
Curriculum 2000 Education Program.
Discuss conducting a Fall Auction
of surplus County Property..
Discuss Resolution to discuss the
Bell County 4-H County Council Officer and Bell County 4-H Teen Ambassadors implementing
the Texas Youth Building Character Education Program for 2000-2001.
Recognize the Rogers Middle School
Eagle Historians for their publication of the Book, "Forward through the Past; a
Journey Through Rogers, Texas."
Discuss County Department
Phone Line Request for the Court Master.
Executive Session in the County's
Conference room beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3 and 4, 2000, to discuss
personnel.
