Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
 October 10, 2000

Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. October 10, 2000, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on October 10, 2000, at 9:00 A.M. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve Minutes of October 2, 2000.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Conduct Public Hearing and consider closure/vacation of a portion of Wells Lane.
    2. Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the purchase of four (4) motor graders.
    3. Discuss and consider authorizing Contract with the Central Texas Council of Governments for an update to the County's Thoroughfare Plan.
    4. Discuss and consider approval of "equivalent-match projects" for the Balance of the County's cost for the replacement of the Sunshine Road over the Little River.
    5. Personnel.

  3. Consideration of lifting or continuing Burn Ban.

  4. Consideration of Memorandum of Understanding with Killeen ISD concerning educational services to Juvenile Detention Center residents.

  5. Consideration of Interlocal Agreement with CTCOG (Central Texas Council of Governments) concerning 9-1-1 Address Maintenance Procedures.

  6. Consideration of City of Temple Tax Abatement Agreement with Roming, Parker & Kasberg, LLP.

  7. Update on status of Grant Submission to Texas Historical Commission for Courthouse Renovation Funds.

  8. Update on Sesquicentennial Committee's Salute to Bell County set for October 15..

  9. Authorize the County Auditor to advertise for bids for county vehicles.

  10. Consider appointment of William and Pearline Stanley as members of the Bell County Historical Commission.

  11. Claims.
