Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
 November 13, 2000

Notice is hereby given that a Regular Special meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. November 13, 2000, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on November 13, 2000, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Waive presentation of Minutes.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Conduct public hearing and consider approval of the following traffic control devices:

      • Installation of a 30 mph speed limit on Indian Springs Drive, Indian Springs Subdivision.

      • Install a 45 mph speed limit on Triangle Road.

      • Install a 25 mph speed limit on Van Bibber from Main Street to the ninety degree corner to the north.

      • Install "No Parking" signs along the east side of the Salado School Road behind the football field, from Thomas Arnold to 500' north.

    2. Consider awarding bids for the purchase of five half-ton trucks..

    3. Consider awarding bid for a corrugate metal box culvert.

    4. Personnel.

  3. Award bids for:  8 patrol cars for the Sheriff's Office; 3 Program Sedans (2 for the S.O. and one for the District Attorney); 3 pick-ups for building and grounds; 6 vans for various departments; 5 pick-ups for Road and Bridge.

  4. Certificates of Appreciation for Ned Roehrig, Ray Kirchmeier, Wanita Reeder, and Mark Zimmerman of Information Systems and Vada Sutton, County Clerk concerning the handling of election returns.

  5. Consider approval of application for a grant to support educational programs at the Bell County Juvenile Justice Center.
