Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
November 20, 2000
Notice is hereby given that a Regular Special
meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. November 20, 2000,
with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at
the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas,
to begin on November 20, 2000, at 9:00 A.M.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approval of Minutes of previous
meetings.
County Engineer
- Discuss and consider revoking (rescinding) the awarding of bids for Five (5) dump
trucks.
- Consider awarding bids for the purchase of two shredder tractors and a vibratory
pad-foot compactor.
- Consider awarding bid for the fencing of Vilas Road.
- Discuss and consider interlocal agreement with CTCOG (Central Texas Council of
Governments) concerning 9-1-1 address maintenance procedures.
- Consider final approval of the plat for Jesse Wilson Addition.
- Personnel.
Introduction of Ron Heuss as the new Director of Human Resources for
Bell County.
Recognition of Jeff Holburg
resigning City Manager of Belton.
Consider joining Texas Conference
of Urban Counties Aggregation Project, Inc. for aggregation of electricity purchasing;
approving the project's Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws; appointing a representative
to the project; authority to pay $1,150.00 in initial dues; and designating Bell County
facilities that will participate.
Consider appointment of Harley
Peterson, principal of Killeen Adventist Junior Academy, to Bell County Child Welfare
Board.
Award Certificates of appreciation
to Chuck Davis of Time Warner Cable; Marvin Caines of Aaron's Rental Purchase; Ned Roehrig
and Mark Zimmerman of Information Systems for Election Night Returns Assistance; Clara
Turner and Julie Couillard of Information Systems for their installation and maintenance
of computer systems used for early voting; Greg Bunte and Mark Meyer for their work with
the Maintenance and Delivery of Election Day Voting Machines; and David Jeschke for his
assistance with Early Voting setup. Denise Fiebig for data entry of the election
results.
