Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
January 16, 2001
Notice is hereby given that a Regular Special
meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. January 16, 2001,
with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at
the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas,
to begin on January 16, 2001, at 9:00 A.M.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approval of Minutes of previous meetings. (January 8, 2001)
- County Engineer
a. Consider abandonment of utility easements along the common
property Line of Lots 8-A and 8-B, Block 6, Woods of Salado.
b. Consider deeding to the City of Belton a portion of Lots 1, 2, and 3, Blk 15
Totaling 0.15 acres, for right of way on 2nd Avenue; and consider granting to the City of
Belton an additional 10 foot utility easement parallel with, and contiguous to the new
right of way, totaling 0.066 acres.
c. Annual report of Road and Bridge Department Activities for 2000.
d. Personnel.
- Consider Inter-local Agreement with City of Temple concerning use of Bell County Jail.
- Update by Tim Stephens on EXPO’s plans for hockey rink usage.
- Consider award of bid for limited use lease (tower site) located on property adjacent to
Bell County North Annex.
- Additional phone extension for CSCD at 215 East Central - Temple Annex.
- Request for One additional internet connection in the County Auditor’s Office; and
one additional request for an internet connection for the County Attorney’s Office.
- Executive Session to discuss Real Estate.

Workshop in Conference Room
Discuss classroom facilities at Juvenile Justice Center.
Continue discussion/review of personnel handbook.
Discuss presentation at V.G. Young Institute concerning Communication
Center.
