Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
January 29, 2001
Notice is hereby given that a Regular Special
meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. January 29, 2001,
with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at
the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas,
to begin on January 29, 2001, at 9:00 A.M.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approval of Minutes of previous meetings. (January 22, 2001)
- County Engineer
a. Personnel.
b. Consider participating in the TxDot 2002 Off-System Bridge Replacement Program.
- Stephenie Turnham, Director of the Bell County Museum to give Annual Report of the Bell
County Museum. Haroldine Early to give the Annual Report for the Bell County Historical
Commission.
- Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids for uniforms for Buildings and
Grounds Department.
- Charles Jones, County Treasurer, to give the following reports:
a) Annual Interest
Report on FY 1999-2000.
b) Quarterly Interest Report on FY 2000-2001.
c) Resolution amending authorized additional representatives for TexPool.
- Discuss approval for phone line requests:
a) CSCD in Temple Annex - Additional Staff
b) Garland Potvin, JP #4 - request for a third line due to volume to calls to his office.
- Consider approval for payment of $250,000 to TxDOT for Bell Countys share of Right
of Way for improvements to SH 195 from south of FM 2484 in Bell County south into
Williamson County.
- Consider confirmation of the appointment of Ramon L. Haile of Hamilton County by the
Hamilton County Commissioners Court to the Board of Central Counties Center for MH/MR
Services.
- Consider appointment of Curtis Lockey to Board of Bell County EXPO Center.
WORKSHOP SESSION IN JUDGE AND COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
9:30 a.m.
1. Discuss Presentation at the V.G. Young Institute for
the Bell County Communications Center Operation.
2. Discussion of reimbursement resolution and other financing
alternatives for capital projects.
