Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
April 02, 2001

Notice is hereby given that a Regular Special meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. April 02, 2001, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on April 02, 2001, at 9:00 A.M. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting (March 19, 2001 & March 26, 2001).

2. County Engineer.

   a.  Consider approval and adoption of new subdivision regulations to go into effect April 2, 2001.

   b.  Consider approval of the seal coat and level-up programs for 2001.

   c.  Consider setting a date for the public hearing on the closure/vacation of a portion of Buckhorn Lane.

   d.  Consider return of Letters of Credit and Expiration of Maintenance Bond for Colinas Del Lago,                 Tumbleweed Estates,Wells Ranch II and the replat of Lot 7 of the Escarpment.

   e.  Consider approval of the final plat for the Woods of Owl Creek.

   f.  Personnel.

3. Consider adding Bell County Crime Victims' Coalition to list of agencies to which juror fees may be donated.
   
   
4. Consider approval of Update #1 to Administrative Procedures and Policies Handbook.
   
   
5. Discuss the status of approval of County Personnel Manuel by other elected officials.
   
   
6. Phone Line requests (P.R. Bond) and (Maintenance Department).
   
   
7. Claims.
   
   

WORKSHOP SESSION IN JUDGE AND COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM at 9:30 a.m.

1. Discuss initial work on Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual for Supervisors and Elected Officials.
2. Discuss pending legislation and consider resolutions in support or in opposition thereof.
3. Discuss census, redistricting and appointments to Citizens Advisory Committee.
4. Discuss facility planning and design, consultants, real estate and financing options.

NOTICE:  Members of the Court may attend and participate in the following activities during the week:  (1) Monthly Conference of Urban Counties luncheon at noon on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the Doubletree Guestsuites Hotel, Austin, Texas; (2) Conference of Urban Counties meeting with Gov. Rick Perry at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at the Governor's Press Room, Capital Building, Austin, Texas;   Texas Joint House and Senate Redistricting Hearing on Congressional and State Board of Education Districts at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2001, in Room E.030 Capital Building, Austin, Texas. .
