Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
April 09, 2001

Notice is hereby given that a Regular Special meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. April 09, 2001, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on April 09, 2001, at 9:00 A.M. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting (April 2, 2001).

2. County Engineer.

   a.  Consider authorizing County Engineer to replace Mr. Henry King, Crewman 2 in the Asphalt Crew.

   b.  Consider preliminary approval of the Plat for Walnut Creek Estates Phase III.

   c.  Personnel.

3. Consider resolution proclaiming April as Fair Housing Month.
   
   
4. Consider report on Calendar Year 2000 Unreimbursed Health Care Expenditures for participation in 2001 Tobacco Settlement Distribution.
   
   
5. Consider authorizing putting out bid for the County's Depository Contract.
   
   
6. Consider appointment of Citizen's Advisory Committee for Redistricting.
   
   
7. Consider approval of Claims.
   
   

WORKSHOP SESSION IN JUDGE AND COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM at 9:30 a.m.

1. Workshop on updating Mobile Home Park Regulations.
2. Discuss pending legislation and consider resolutions in support or in opposition thereof.
3. Discuss census and redistricting.
4. Discuss facility planning and design, consultants, real estate and financing options.
5. Discuss Bell County Tax Appraisal District and its proposed Budget.
6. Discuss telephone lines, access, and modem issues.

NOTICE:  Members of the Court may attend and participate in the following activities during the week:  (1)  Temple Area Builders Association meeting 5:30, Monday April 9 at Wildflower Country Club, Temple; (2) Area Extension Clubs Meeting 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10 at Frank Mayborn Civic Center, Temple; (3) Meeting with Governor Perry and Ag Commissioner Combs at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 10 at Capital, Austin, Texas; (4) Bell County Republican Party Executive Committee Meeting 6:00 p.m., Bell County North Annex, Belton;  (5) Sunrise Rotary Club, 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, Golden Corral, Temple;  (6) Local Government Seminar, Wednesday through Friday, Radisson Hotel, Austin.
