Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
April 30, 2001

Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. April 30, 2001, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on April 30, 2001, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Waive approval of Minutes of previous meetings.  (April 9, 16 & 23, 2001).

2. County Engineer

1. Conduct Public Hearing and Consider Abandonment/Vacation of a Portion of Buckhorn Lane.

2. Personnel.
   

3. Consider Proclamation declaring May 2001 Mental Health Month in Bell County, Texas.

4. Consider approval of bus stop sign for Killeen-Temple Commuter Bus Service to be located on Water Street on the south side of the courthouse.

5. Discuss and consider actions regarding proposed State Redistricting Maps for State Senate, State Representatives, and   U. S. Congressional districts.

6. Claims.

WORKSHOP SESSION IN JUDGE AND COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM 9:30 A.M.

     1.  Discuss pending legislation and consider resolutions in support or in opposition thereof.
     2.  Discuss census, redistricting, and gathering information for consultants.
     3.  Discuss facility planning and design, consultants, real estate and financing options.

NOTICE:  Members of the Court may attend and participate (to include discussion of county issues) in the following activities during the week:  Republican Prayer Breakfast, 6:30 am, May 3, 2001 at the Inn at Scott & White, Temple;  RVOS 100th Anniversary Celebration, 11:00 am, May 5, 2001 at EXPO Center, Belton;  First Baptist Church of Salado Dedication Ceremony, 10:45 am, May 6, 2001 Salado.
