Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
July 02, 2001

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. July 02, 2001, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on July 02, 2001, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Minutes of previous meetings.  (June 18, 20, & 28, 2001).

  2. County Engineer

    1. Consider approval of an interlocal agreement with the City of Holland for the seal coating of approximately 0.35 miles of City Streets.

    2. Consider awarding bid for the removal and salvage of the wooden bridge on Acres Road, Precinct #3.

    3. Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the fencing of new right of way on Wood Road, Precinct #2.

    4. Discuss and consider projects for the equivalent match programs for the Sunshine/Strasburger and Backstrum Crossing Bridges.

    5. Consider final approval of the plat for Brewer's Acres.

    6. Consider final approval of the plat for Ridgewood of Salado. 

    7. Personnel.

  3. Report from Sheriff Dan Smith and Jail Administrator Major Bob Patterson on Annual Jail Inspection by Texas Commission on Jail Standards. 

  4. Recognition of Jail Administrator Major Bob Patterson for his election as 3rd Vice President of the American Jail Association.

  5. Report on financial ratings presentations to Moody's Investors Service and Standard & Poor's.

  6. Consider nonsubstantive administrative amendments to By-Laws of Texas CUC Aggregation Project, Inc.

  7. Consider approval of renewal of lease with City of Temple for Bell County Help Center.

  8. Consider extension of Interlocal Agreement with City of Temple concerning housing Temple Prisoners in Bell County Jail.

  9. Consider approval of Claims.

NOTICE:  Members of the Court may also attend and participate (to include discussion of County Issues)
in the following activities during the week:  Killeen Exchange Club Meeting, Monday, July 2, noon
Killeen Golden Corral;  Belton July 4th Patriotic Program and Parade, Wednesday, July 4, 
9 a.m., Belton, Texas.
