Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
August 13, 2001
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at nine a.m. August 13, 2001, with the
meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on August 13, 2001, at 9:00 a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Minutes of previous
meetings. (July 30 & August 6, 2001).
County Engineer
Consider accepting
Warranty Letter of Credit #302 from First State Bank Central Texas, in the
amount of $8,500.00, and returning performance Letter of Credit numbers
271 and 298 for Mill Creek Springs Phase II.
Consider
authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for new fuel pumps at
the Road and Bridge Yard.
Consider final
approval of the amending of Plat of Lots 20 and 21, River Ridge Ranch,
Section 1.
Consider final
approval of the plat for Hidden Springs, Section One Subdivision.
Personnel.
Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to family of
the late Joe Lynn Whitlow for 35 years of Volunteer Fire Department Service,
last serving as Assistant Chief of the Troy-Oenaville-Belfalls-Bottoms
Volunteer Fire Department.
Consider and act on renewal of lease of 4,165 sq ft at
1605 North Main (North Annex) in Belton to USDA Farm Service Agency.
Consider and act on Bell County Medical Insurance/Health
Plan options for FY 2002 budget.
Claims.
WORKSHOP at 9:30 a.m. in Judge and Commissioners
Conference Room to discuss the following items
of business: 1) Demonstration of new voting machine equipment now being
marketed by Hart Graphics
& Dell; 2) Application process for Brown Field Site Assessments;
3) Subdivision rules clarification on
proposed land divisions; 4) Newly passed legislation; 5) State and
County Redistricting; 6) Facility
planning, architects, design, and financing; 7) Budget Issues; 8)
Discuss Engineering, Road and
Bridge, and Right-of-Way Issues; 9) Discuss Maintenance Issues.
NOTICE: Members of the Court may also attend and
participate (to include discussion of County
Issues) in the following activities during the week: (1) Fort Hood III
Corps Change of Command
Ceremony at Fort Hood III Corps Headquarters, Tuesday, August 14 at 9
a.m.; (2) Texas
Association of Counties Post Legislative Conference at Austin Hyatt Regency
Hotel,
Wednesday through Friday, August 15-17 beginning at 9 a.m. on
Wednesday;
(3) Conference of Urban Counties Meeting at Austin Doubletree Hotel,
Thursday, August 16 at 11:30 a.m.
