Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September 04, 2001

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. September 04, 2001, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on September 04, 2001, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Minutes of previous meetings.  (August 27, 2001).

2. County Engineer

a. Consider approval of the final plat of Walnut Creek Estates, Phase 3, Sec. I.

b. Consider the temporary closure of Sunshine/Strasburger Road from Sullivan Road to the Little River.

c. Consider final approval of the replat of Lots 6, 7, 9 & 10 of Southlake Harbor.

d. Accept the Letter of Credit for the Warranty of Work performed on The Brenda Lane Extension Subdivision.

e. Report on Road Conditions following Flooding.

f. Personnel.

3. Consider adoption of revised employee sick leave policy.

4. Consider adoption of revised part-time worker policy.

5. Consider lifting of Burn Ban in Bell County.

6. Claims.
   

WORKSHOP to be held in conference room to discuss the following: 1) Employee sick leave pool policy; 2) Seasonal/contingent worker policy; 3) Placement of new hires on salary schedule policy; 4) Indigent burial issues; 5) Newly passed legislation; 6) Redistricting; 7) Facility planning, architects, design and financing; 8) Budget Issues; 9) Engineering Road and Bridge, and Right-of-Way Issues; 10) Personnel Issues; 11) Maintenance Issues.

NOTICE: Members of the Court may attend and participate (to include discussion of county issues) in the following activities during the week: 1) Temple Chamber Military Appreciation Luncheon at VFW on Airport Road at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday 9/6/01; 2) Medicaid Meeting at EXPO at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 9/6/01; 3) Ranger Aycock's retirement party at EXPO at 6 p.m. on Thursday 9/6/01.
