Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September 24, 2001
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at nine a.m. September 24, 2001, with the
meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on September 24, 2001, at 9:00 a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve Minutes of
September 17, 2001.
County Engineer
Item:
Conduct Public Hearing and Consider Vacation/Abandonment of Schwald Road
from 60th Street in Killeen to the West.
Consider
authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the purchase of a
track loader and four (4) motor graders.
Personnel.
Consider approval of
internet/computer usage policy.
Consider renewal of HELP Center lease with City of Temple.
Consider submitting grant application to continue teen
alcohol sting program.
Consider funding participation in right-of-way acquisition
for Joint Use Airport.
Consider selection of Redistricting Plan for submission to
Department of Justice.
Consider approval of District Attorney's Forfeiture
Report.
Consider Phone Line Request for Judge Don Svadlenak.
Claims.
WORKSHOP in conference room to discuss the
following: (1) Report on status on plans for education
building at juvenile center; (2) Building maintenance and security
issues; (3) Engineering, drainage,
and subdivision issues; (4) New Legislation; (5) Budget
Issues; (6) Redistricting; (7) Personnel
Policy Issues; and (8) Expense Reimbursement Policy Issues.
NOTICE: Members of the Court may attend and
participate (to include discussion of County
Issues) in the following activities during the week: 1) TxDOT Meeting at 9
a.m. in Austin-TxDOT
Meeting Room on Thursday, 9/27/01; (2) CTCOG Meeting in Belton CTCOG Conference
room at
noon/2 p.m. on Thursday, 9/27/01; (3) Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce
Annual Banquet
at 6 p.m. at Killeen Plaza Hotel on Thursday, 9/27/01.
