Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 15, 2001
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at nine a.m. October 15, 2001, with the
meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on October 15, 2001, at 9:00 a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve Minutes of
October 9, 2001.
County Engineer
Conduct public
hearing and consider approval of the following traffic Control
Devices: (1) Install a 50 mph speed limit on Warriors Path;
(2) Install a 45 mph speed limit on Oscar School Rd from Oscar Lane to 1.1
mi east; (3) Install a 55 mph speed limit on Oscar School Road, from
Seaton South to 2 mi West; (4) Install a YIELD sign on Dandelion
Road at Arrowhead Point Road; (5) Install a 45 mph speed limit on
Sparta Road, from FM 439 to 0.25 mi South.
Consider six-month
extension to the preliminary plat for Satch Addition.
Consider approval
of the final plat for the Kenny W. Ralston Subdivision.
Personnel.
Charles Jones to
amend authorization for Tex-Pool Account signatures.
Sharon Long for presentation of report concern Local
Option Petitions and the calling of an election, if necessary.
Claims.
WORKSHOP in conference room to discuss the
following: (1) Presentation by Texas Assn of Counties
Representative on new Legislation; (2) Building Maintenance and Security
Issues; (3) Engineering, drainage
and subdivision issues; (4) New Legislation; (5) Budget
Issues; (6) Redistricting; (7) Personnel policy issues;
(8) Expense reimbursement policy issues.
NOTICE: Members of the Court may attend and
participate (to include discussion of County
Issues) in the following activities during the week: 1) County Judges
& Commissioners Annual Meeting,
October 13-18 at Waco Convention Center in Waco; (2) Temple Area Builders
BBQ at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday
10/16 at Cyclone; (3) Central Texas Republican Women Chili Luncheon at 11
a.m. on Wednesday 10/17 at
First Christian Church in Belton; (4) Conference of Urban Counties
luncheon at noon on Thursday 10/18 at
Waco Hilton; (5) Texas Retired Officers Association meeting at noon on
Friday 10/19 at Fort Hood Officers Club.
