Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
November 19, 2001
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at nine a.m. November 19, 2001, with the
meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on November 19, 2001, at 9:00 a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve Minutes of
November 7 and 9, 2001.
County Engineer
Conduct Public
Hearing on the vacation/abandonment of a portion of Centex Sportsman's
Club Road.
Consider
authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for a pneumatic roller,
vibratory padfoot compactor and vibratory flat-wheel compactor.
Consider approval
of the final plat for Eagle Rock Ranch Subdivision.
Personnel
Consider Resolution Honoring former County Commissioner A.
J. Lanham who died Sunday, November 11, 2001.
Presentation of Texas County Engineer of the Year Award to
Bell County Engineer Richard Macchi.
Recognition of Central Texas Workforce Center in Killeen
for its selection as One-Stop Career Center of the Year by the National
Alliance of Business.
Consider Interlocal Agreement pursuant to Chapter 791 of
the Texas Government Code to join with other political subdivisions
regarding certain insurance coverages, reinsurance coverages and insurance
services.
Consider Adoption Agreement pursuant to Chapter 791 of
Texas Government Code to contract with other political subdivisions for the
purpose of achieving efficiencies and economics regarding insurance
coverages.
Consider resolution approving application for membership
of the Village of Salado into the Bell County Public Health District.
Consider ratification of appointments of Sue Faulkner of
Lampasas County and Ann King of Milam County to Board of Trustee of Central
Counties Center of MHMR.
Public Hearing on County Order to either regulate or
prohibit the keeping of Dangerous wild animals in Bell County.
Consider County Order to either regulate or prohibit the
keeping of dangerous wild animals in Bell County.
Consider a resolution for Communities in Schools Grant for
Salado and Rogers ISD.
Jill Hargrove to present the Crime Victims Grant renewal.
Consider and take action with respect to approving the
issuance of bonds by the Bell County Health Facilities Development
Corporation to Finance Health Facilities for Scott and White Memorial
Hospital and Scott, Sherwood Brindley Foundation with respect to a public
hearing.
WORKSHOP MEETING after Court in the conference room to
discuss the following: (1) Subdivision and drainage issues; (2)
Nolan Creek Floodplan Maps; (3) Bell County floodplan Regulations;
(4) Request to close Wells Lane; (5) Emergency Evacuation/Disaster
Proposed plan; (6) Budget issues; (7) Redistricting - Voter Precinct
Issues; (8) Personnel Issues; (9) Engineering & Road
issues; (10) Maintenance and Building Issues; (11) Utility Aggregate
Update; (12) New Legislation; (13) Senate Bill 7 Implementation
Issues; (14) CSC Contract Renewal; (15) Building Plan/Security
Issues.
NOTICE: Members of the Court may attend and
participate (to include discussion of County
Issues) in the following activities during the week: (1) Bell County
Extension Program Annual Dinner Meeting, Tuesday 11/20/01 at Bell County Expo at
6:15 p.m.
