Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
JANUARY 14, 2002

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. January 14, 2002, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on January 14, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Approve Minutes of December 26, 2001 and January 7, 2002.

2. County Engineer

1. Conduct public hearing and consider approval of the following traffic control devices:  1) Install a 30 MPH speed limit on Stoneham Lane, Cody Lane and Sykes Lane, Chaparral West Subdivision;  2) Install a stop sign on Great Oaks Drive at Blackberry Road.

2. Consider award of bids for the purchase of a chip spreader and four shredders.

3. Consider award of bids for pneumatic roller, vibratory pad foot compactor and vibratory smooth drum compactor.

4. Consider setting a date for a public hearing on Oscars Acres First Revision, a replat of Lots 7-10, Oscar's Acres.

3. Draw for members of the 2002 Grievance Committee from the previous years Grand Jury Members.
   

4. Consider advertising for bids for Auctioneer Services.

   Members of the Court may attend the following meetings where County Business may be discussed;  1) BellNET monthly meeting Monday, 1/14/02, 1:00 p.m., Conference Room;  2) Ballot Drawing Tuesday, 1/15/02, 1:00 p.m. in Courtroom;  3) Temple Area Builders Reception for new Executive Director, Wednesday, 1/16/02, 4:00 p.m., Santa Fe Depot in Temple;  4) Central Texas Republican Women Supreme Court Forum, Wednesday, 1/16/02, 6:00 p.m., Wildflower Country Club in Temple;  5) Salado Republican Women Candidate Forum, Thursday, 1/17/02, 6:30 p.m., Salado Civic Center;  6) Temple Chamber Banquet, Friday, 1/18/02, 6:30 p.m., at EXPO Center.
