Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
FEBRUARY 04, 2002
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at nine a.m. February 04, 2002, with the
meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on February 04, 2002, at 9:00 a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve Minutes of January
28, 2002.
County Engineer
Consider
authorizing County Engineer to acquire approximately 3,200 cubic yards of
recycled asphalt pavement from TXDot.
Consider approval
of the final plat for Brushmaster Subdivision.
Consider approval
of the final plat for Mikulec Addition Subdivision.
Personnel.
Presentation of
annual report of the Bell County Museum Director, Stephanie Turnham, on
2001 accomplishments and 2002 goals.
Report by Patty Benoit and David Yielding on publication
of Bell County Historical Resources Guidebook.
Receive report from Elm Creek Watershed Authority on 2001
maintenance expenditures.
Report from Commissioner Tim Brown and CTCOG Director Jim
Reed on Gov Perry's Transportation Proposal.
Consider approval of $7,500.00 consulting contract with
SBI & Company for business software project assessment.
Draw for replacement member for Salary Grievance Committee
for member who could not serve.

Workshop session in Commissioners Court Conference Room:
1) TxDOT proposed policy on access roads; 2) Financial and HR
Software/Hardware/Implementation Issues; 3) Redistricting/Voting
Precincts Map update; 4) Right of Way and Utility Purchase
Issues; 5) Budget Issues; 6) Insurance Coverage Issues; 7)
Personnel Issues; 8) Engineering/Road Issues; 9) ETJ platting
approval issues; 10) Maintenance/Building/Security Issues; 11)
Medical Insurance update and bid procedures; 12) New
Legislation; 13) Chapter 388 of Health and Safety Code on energy
efficiency; 14) Fuel Pump Installation Status; 15) Long/Short
Range Building Plans; 16) Juvenile Facility construction update;
17) Potts Building Construction Update; 18) Appointment
procedures.
WILL ATTEND: The Court may attend the following meetings where County Business
may be discussed; 1) V.G. Institute on County Government, Monday
2/4/02 thru Thursday 2/7/02 at Hilton Hotel in College Station; 2)
Youth Fair and Auction on Saturday 2/9/02 at Expo Center.
