Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
JUNE 24, 2002

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. June 24, 2002, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on June 24, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve Minutes of June 18, 2002.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Conduct a public hearing and consider approval of the replat of Lots 2, 3, and 4, blk 3, tract 5, Seven Coves Subdivision.
    2. Conduct public hearing and consider approval of the following traffic control devices:  1) Install a stop sign on Gnome Lane at Elf Trail, Escarpment Subdivision;  2) Install a Yield sign on Troll Hollow at Elf Trail, Escarpment Subdivision;  3) Install a 30 mph speed limit on George Wilson Road, from the U.S. 190 East Bound Service Road to Dog Ridge Road;  4) Install a 50 mph speed limit on Wheat Road from FM 93 to U.S. 190. 
    3. Consider final approval of the amended plat of Walnut Creek Estates Phase 3, Section 1.
    4. Consider approval of the an interlocal agreement with Holland ISD for the prime and seal coating of school parking lots. 
    5. Consider authorizing County Engineer to seek bids for the sale of two railroad flatcars.
    6. Personnel

  3. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids for addition to County Clerk's Office.

  4. Consider authorizing County Treasurer to use MBIA as additional investment pool for tax revenue collection.

  5. Consider renewal of Agreement with Lone Star Legal Aid (formerly Central Texas Legal Aid) to process protective orders.

  6. Consider renewal of Memorandum of Understanding with Lone Star Legal Aid to provide services as Juvenile Court Magistrates upon appointment by the Juvenile Court.

  7. Claims.
