Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
JULY  23, 2002

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. July  23, 2002, with the meeting to be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on July 23, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve Minutes of July 8, 2002.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Consider approval of the following traffic control devices:

      1. Install a stop sign on Moffat Road at Water Supply Road.

      2. Install a 40 mph speed limit on Stinnet Mill Road from E Amity to 0.5 miles south. 

    2. Consider approval of the final plat for Camp Creek Estates Subdivision.

    3. Consider releasing the maintenance/warranty bonds/letters of credit for Shiloh Terrace, Windy Hill Ranch and Hillside Estates Phase III.

    4. Consider approval of the final plat for Shaw Valley Subdivision.

    5. Consider awarding bid for the sale of two railroad flatcars.

    6. Personnel.

  3. Consider/approve awarding bid on two railroad flatcars.  

  4. Consider/approve the acceptance of the bid offer for the sale of County Property located at South East Street in Belton, commonly referred to as the "East Annex."

  5. Select and authorize entering into negotiations with architect for addition to the County Clerk's building. 

  6. Select and authorize entering into negotiations with firm for the fixed asset inventory, appraisal and database.

  7. Consider nomination of County Judge Jon Burrows to fill vacancy on Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group.

  8. Announce the selection of Human Resources Director Ron Heuss for recognition by the Texas Association of Counties Leadership Foundation for County Best Practices Award for the Supervision 101 course he developed and presented to county supervisors.
