Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
SEPTEMBER  30, 2002

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at nine a.m. September 30, 2002, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on September 30, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve Minutes of September 23, 2002.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Conduct public hearing and consider approval of the following traffic control devices:  1) Install a YIELD sign on Deer Run at Creek Place Dr., Creek Place Subdivision;  2) Install a STOP sign for North-bound traffic on Shallowford Road at Shallowford-Shallowford West Intersection;  3) Install a STOP sign on Olde Oaks Drive (Hartrick Estate Subdivision) at Hartrick Bluff Road;  4) Install a STOP sign on Carriage Road at Cart Road, Moffat Springs Subdivision;  5) Install a 30 MPH speed limit on Jay Line Drive;  6) Install a 50 MPH speed limit on Cedar Valley Road from Stillman Valley to Crows Ranch Road;  7) Install a 50 MPH speed limit on Stillman Valley from FM 2484 to Cedar Valley Road. 

    2. Consider awarding bid for the construction of right of way fencing on Franklin Road.

    3. Consider approval of the final plat for Regatta Oaks Subdivision. 

    4. Consider approval of the final plat for the Ivey-Sawyer Subdivision. 

    5. Personnel.

  3. Recognize Cochran, Blair & Potts for being one of seven winners in the Texas Family Business of the Year Awards and for being the oldest family owned business in Texas. 

  4. Consider continuation of Burn Ban for additional 30 days. 

  5. Consider appointment to Hill Country Transit Board.

  6. Consider appointments to Bell County Health District Board.

  7. Consider approval of collection agreements for fines and fees. 

  8. Discuss Ballot by Mail Procedures.

  9. Claims.
