Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
OCTOBER  15, 2002

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 15, 2002, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on October 15, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Approve Minutes of October 7, 2002.

2. County Engineer

1. Consider approval of the final plat of a subdivision of 6.674 acres in the Miguel Davilla Survey, off of FM 2268.
2. Consider awarding bid for asphalt distributor. 
3. Consider renaming Oak Vista to Shady Oaks and Creekview Drive to East Creekview Drive, in Hidden Springs, Section One. 
4. Consider final approval of the plat for Hidden Springs, Section Two.
5. Consider final approval of the replat of Windy Hill Ranch Subdivision. 
6. Personnel.
   
   

3. Review status of burn ban.

4. Receive Annual Report from Bell County Child Welfare Board by Barbara Keetch, Chair. 

5. Consider approval of renewal of Interlocal Agreement with Kerr County for Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Chemical Dependency Commitment Hearings and Psychoactive Medication Hearings at Kerrville State Hospital for Bell County residents being treated there. 

6. Consider approval to solicit Request for Proposal/Bids to install fiber optic cable to seven health and human services organizations through eleven sites onto the existing Bell County fiber optic network. 

7. Consider approval of connectivity of Bell County Public Health District; Greater Killeen Free Clinic; Bell County HELP Centers; Belton Christian Youth Center; Central Texas Youth Services Bureau; and Central Texas Council of Governments (Central Texas Workforce Board and TAMUS Health Science Center previously approved on April 8, 1998) onto Bell County Fiber Optic Network.

8. Consider approval of 2002-2003 Indigent Defense Grant Application submission. 

9. Consider authorizing County Auditor's Office to advertise for bids for vehicles for Bell County Departments. 

10. Receive report on filing of HIPAA Extension Request and confirmation and consider contracting for consulting services for HIPAA implementation. 

11. Claims.

12. Executive Session under Section 551.071 et seq of the Texas Government Code to discuss pending litigation under Section 551.071 and Real Property under Section 551.072.
