Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
OCTOBER  21, 2002

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 21, 2002, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on October 21, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve Minutes of October 15, 2002.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Consider awarding bids for the purchase of crushed Limestone Base, reinforcing steel, corrugated metal culverts and oil & grease. 
    2. Personnel.

  3. Recognize Potts family in Belton for the selection of Cochran, Blair & Potts as one of seven winners in the Texas Business of the Year Awards and for being the oldest family owned business in Texas. 

  4. Consider approval of annual Memorandums of Understanding with School Districts Concerning Juvenile Detention Center and Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program.

  5. Consider authorizing County Judge to execute utility easement(s) in conjunction with construction of the Juvenile Education Center in Killeen.  

  6. Consider authorizing County Judge to bid at foreclosure sale of building on Penelope Street in Belton used as collateral for Bail Bonds. 

  7. Consider approval of Interlocal Agreement for participation in CTCOG Regional Hazard Mitigation Action Plan Project. 

  8. Ratify appointment of Richard Macchi, County Engineer, as Bell County's representative to Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

  9. Claims.
