Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
JANUARY 06, 2003
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., January 06,
2003,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on January 06, 2003, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve Minutes of December 23, 2002 and January 2, 2003.
County Engineer
- Consider awarding bids for the purchase of a backhoe/integrated tool
carrier and two shredder tractors.
- Consider approval of the final plat for Double "R"
Subdivision.
- Personnel.
Consider approval of a change order to J.J.A.E.P.
Juvenile Education Building Contract for net increase of $10,655.00 for
addition of three fire hydrants and other minor changes.
Consider authorizing county auditor to go out for
Request for Qualifications/bids for engineering services to evaluate jail
foundation pillars for insurance purposes.
Consider approval of granting ad valorem tax exemption
for primarily charitable organizations specified and qualifying under
House Bill 1689.
Consider approval of City of Temple Tax Abatement
Agreement with Wilsonart International, Inc. for 80% for 5 years for new
construction and improvements of not les than $9,845,000.00.
Consider approval of appointment of Commissioner Tim
Brown as Bell County's representative in Conference of Urban Counties
Public Power Pool transactions.
Selection of 2003 Elected Officials Salary Grievance
Committee from Grand Jury Pool.
Consider authorizing County Auditor to go out for bids
for auction services.
