Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
MARCH  24, 2003

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., March 24, 2003, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on March 24, 2003, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Consider Resolution of support expressing gratitude to the members of the United States Armed Forces,  especially those from Bell County and Fort Hood. 

  2. Approve minutes of March 17, 2003.

  3. County Engineer.

    1. Consider awarding bid for the purchase of liquid asphalt products.
    2. Consider approval of the final plat for Diana Addition, a 14.03 acre 23-lot development off of Pleasant Hill Cemetery Road, in the E.T.J. of the City of Nolanville.
    3. Discuss 2003-2006 TxDOT Transportation Improvement Program.
    4. Personnel.

  4. Presentation and consideration of the FY 2002 Annual Audit Report. 

  5. Consider update on Bell County Tax Appraisal District policies and procedures concerning significant appraisal appeals and settlements and role of board members. 

  6. Consider extension of consulting contracts with SBI, Inc. for Labor Collection System (Kronos) Implementation and for Business Software Product.

  7. Consider review of award for bids for computers and consider award to the next lowest qualifying bid, due to problems with product delivered by low bidder.

  8. Consider appointments to Aging Advisory Council of the Area Agency on Aging.

  9. Consider setting date of April 11, 2003 for Annual County Employees' Bar-B-Que and Awards Ceremony.

  10. Consider authorizing County Judge to sign documents to extend lease with Quincy Ellis for Building A.

  11. Claims.

  12. Executive Session on Real Estate.

  13. Consider authorizing County Judge to enter into negotiations and sign documents to contract for and purchase real estate for site for jail/building construction.
