Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
June 30, 2003
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., June 30,
2003,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on June 30, 2003, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Consider Adoption of: An Order authorizing the
issuance of BELL COUNTY, TEXAS, LIMITED TAX REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 2003 in
a principal amount of $7,690,000; specifying the terms and features of said
bonds; levying a continuing direct annual ad valorem tax for the payment of
said bonds; and resolving other matters incident and related to the
issuance, sale, payment and delivery of said bonds, including the approval
and execution of a Paying Agent/Registrar Agreement and a Purchase Contract
and the approval and distribution of an Official Statement; providing for
the redemption of the obligations being refunded; and providing an effective
date.
Consider Adoption of: An Order authorizing the
issuance of BELL COUNTY, TEXAS, COMBINATION TAX AND REVENUE CERTIFICATES OF
OBLIGATION, SERIES 2003, in a principal amount not to exceed $61,000,000; a
letter of representations with the Depository Trust Company, and a Paying
Agent/Registrar Agreement; and ordering other matters relating to the
issuance of the certificates.
Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for
Request for Qualifications for a Construction Manager at Risk for the
Jail/Courts Project.
Approve minutes of June 23, 2003.
County Engineer.
- Consider authorizing County Attorney to prepare and file an injunction
against the Developer of the Cliffs of Woodlake for violation of the
County's Subdivision Regulations and a waiver of bond for court costs.
Personnel.
Consider approval of a $10,000 ad valorem tax exemption
under § 11.13 of the Texas Property Tax Code for a residence homestead of
an individual who is disabled.
Consider approval of a Services Agreement with Appriss,
Inc. to provide Texas VINE service in which Appriss provides substantial
notification to victims of crimes regarding events relevant to victims of
violent crimes including but not limited to events in the prosecution,
incarceration and release of persons charged or convicted of violent crime
in Texas.
Consider approval of budget amendment for Juvenile
Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) budget.
Consider approval of authorization for the Tax Appraisal
District of Bell County to resell property held in Trust by the Tax
Appraisal District of Bell County; Tax Account No. 47736 and 47737, A
3.214 Acre tract located in the J.M. Roberts Survey, Abstract 723 and the
A. Gallatin Survey, Abstract 363, Bell County Texas.
