Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
August 25, 2003

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., August 25, 2003, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on August 25, 2003, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve minutes of August 11 & 18, 2003. 

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider approval of the Final Plat of Crossland Estates Phase 2, a Replat of Lots 1-8, Block 1, Crossland Estates. 
    2. Consider preliminary approval of the Plat for Heritage Subdivision, a 53-Lot, 103.53 acre development off of East Amity Road. 

  3. Personnel.

  4. Recognition of retirement of James Davis from Texas Cooperative Extension. 

  5. Bell County Communications Center 9-1-1 Child Hero Honored.   

  6. Consider approval of the FY 2003-2004 Bell County Budget.  

  7. Consider approval of Bell County's and Bell County Road District's Tax Rates for FY 2003-2004. 

  8. Consider approval of Interlocal Agreement with Central Texas Council of Governments for PSAP Maintenance, Equipment Upgrade and Training.  

  9. Receive update report from Elm Creek Water Shed.

  10. Update on Jail/Courts Project

  11. Set Public Hearing Dates

    1. Salado Civic Center, 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, 8/26/03.
    2.  Academy High School, 7:00 p.m., Thursday, 8/28/03
    3. Troy City Hall, 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, 9/2/03.
    4. Rogers City Hall, 7:00 p.m., Monday, 9/8/03

  12. Claims. 

  13. Executive Session concerning personnel matter.
