Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September 15, 2003

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., September 15, 2003, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on September 15, 2003, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve minutes of September 8, 2003. 

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the following traffic control devices:
      1. Install STOP sign on Retama Drive at Wells Drive, Wells Ranch Subdivision
      2. Install STOP sign on Retama Drive at Upton Drive, Wells Ranch Subdivision
      3. Install STOP sign on Danzig Drive at Wells Drive, Wells Ranch Subdivision

    2. Consider releasing Construction Bond #SS6179 from River Chase Venture in the amount of $1,321,587.75 and replacing it with a Maintenance Bond from Shallowford Construction in the amount of $135,640 (Bond No. 103869397), expiring on June 30, 2003; and a rider to the construction Bond in the amount of $10,000 to cover revegetation costs. 

    3. Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 1015, First Texas Bank, in the amount of $91,058 and accepting a Maintenance Letter of Credit, No. 1016, in the amount of $4,750 for road and drainage improvements in Cedar Oaks Estates, Phase 2.

  3. Personnel.

  4. Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to Temple Amateur Radio Club in thanks for service to Bell County.

  5. Consider appointment of a voting member to Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

  6. Consider appointment of Hazardous Mitigation Coordinator. 

  7. Receive report from Molly Bosley, CTCOG, on Statewide Mobility Plan.

  8. Consider approval of an Order allowing Bell County Master Gardener Association to establish and maintain a greenhouse for horticultural exhibits. 

  9. Consider approval of 2003 Law Enforcement Block Grant. 

  10. Consider approval of Statement of Work for services from SBI and Company relating to Kronos personnel software for maintenance department and Sheriff's Office, financial reporting for GASB 34 and implementation of payroll for new budget.  

  11. Claims.

  12. Executive Session concerning personnel matter.
