Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September 29, 2003

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., September 29, 2003, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on September 29, 2003, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve minutes of September 22, 2003. 

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider Final Approval of the Plat for Spring Meadow Estates, a 30-Lot, 20.520 Acre Development in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple, off of F.M. 439.

    2. Consider setting date for the abandonment/vacation of Deer Park Road (Triple Seven Estates), from Riverside Drive to the Lampasas River. 

    3. Consider adding the replacement of the flatcar bridge on Bottoms Road, over Pecan Creek, to the Annual Work Plan. 

  3. Personnel.

  4. Receive report of Order of re-appointment of Auditor by District Judges and receive report from District Judges of annual Order certifying the FY 2003-04 County Auditor's budget.  

  5. Receive annual report of Order of District Judges concerning Court Reporter pay. 

  6. Consider approval of 2004 Sheriff's fees, Constables' fees, and other fees.   

  7. Consider approval of proposed 2004 Holiday Schedule. 

  8. Consider report of sale of Fixed Assets through auction on September 18, 2003. 

  9. Authorize County Auditor to advertise for bids for the sale of Phone Key Systems (10) available due to installation of new phone system. 

  10. Authorize County Auditor to advertise for bids for the sale and removal of the house located at 120 North Blair in Belton. 

  11. Consider report on annual audit of District Attorney's Forfeiture Report. 

  12. Consider ratifying payment of $5,000.00 to Development Corporation of Belton and the City of Belton to extend option time for purchase of Loop 121 property until July 9, 2004. 

  13. Consider approval of members of Jail/Courts Task Force. 

  14. Claims.
