Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 20, 2003

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 20, 2003, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on October 20, 2003, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve minutes of October 14, 2003. 

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider accepting the road Sandlin Drive, Sherwood Shores VII, for county maintenance in accordance with County Policy dated March 16, 1987.  

    2. Consider abandoning drainage easement on Lot 17, Centennial Subdivision, Section II, referred to as Parcel #3 in the Easement filed in Vol 1701, Page 843 of the Official Real Estate Records of Bell County, and quit claiming Parcel #3 to the owner of Lot 17.  

  3. Personnel.

  4. Consider re-appointment of Brent Whitis as Bell County's representative on the Board of Directors of the Tax Appraisal District of Bell County for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2004.   

  5. Consider appointment of Veronica Russell of Killeen to the Bell County Child Welfare Board. 

  6. Consider authorizing County Judge to enter into renewal and modification of Lease Agreement with the Tax Appraisal District of Bell County for space for Tax-Assessor-Collector.

  7. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids for 15 passenger vehicles. 

  8. Consider authorizing the purchase of one140H Motor Grader via an Interlocal Agreement for purchasing through Wood County.

  9. Claims.

  10. Executive Session concerning personnel matter.

  11. Executive Session concerning real estate.
