Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 27, 2003
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 27,
2003,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on October 27, 2003, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve minutes of October 14 & 20, 2003.
County Engineer.
- Conduct Public Hearing regarding the abandonment/vacation of Deer Park
Road, from Riverside Drive to the Lampasas River, in Triple Seven Estates.
Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the
following traffic control devices:
Install STOP sign on Bell Meadows Blvd at Campbell Hill
Road
Install YIELD signs on Cartwright Loop at FM 439 Loop
(two locations)
Install 45 MPH speed limit on Turkey Trot Road
Install 45 MPH speed limit on Kuykendall Branch Road
from Grainger Road to 1.25 miles north
Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for
the sale of four (4), 140H Caterpillar motor graders.
Personnel.
Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to Victoria
Denman from County Sheriff Dan Smith.
Receive and accept Annual Report of Bell County Child
Welfare Board from Barbara Keetch, Board Chair.
Consider awarding Request for Proposal 1403 on repairs
and rehabilitation of columns at Law Enforcement Center.
Consider awarding Bid 2003 for sale and removal of house
at 120 N. Blair in Belton.
Consider awarding Bid 2103 for sale of ten phone
systems.
Consider authorizing Hill Country Transit District
permission to construct improvements on old Precinct 4 Barn property on FM
2410 in Killeen.
Consider approval of Interlocal Cooperation Agreement
with City of Temple of use of County's Early Voting System.
Consider Resolution in support of improvements to FM 439
and SH 36 under Mobility 2030 Plan for State highway projects.
Consider approval of Inter-Jurisdictional Mutual Aid
Agreement with cities of Bartlett, Holland, Killeen, Little River,
Morgan's Point Resort, Nolanville, Rogers, Village of Salado, Temple, and
Troy to furnish mutual aid during disasters and/or civil
emergencies. (Agreements already approved for the cities of Belton
and Harker Heights.)
