Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
November 24, 2003
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., November
24,
2003,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on November 24, 2003, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve minutes of November 17, 2003.
County Engineer.
- Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the
purchase of aggregate for the annual seal coat program.
- Consider exception to subdivision platting requirements for a 3.07 acre
tract in the F.C. Booker Survey, Abstract No. 125, off of F.M. 2115, to be
purchased by Jarrell-Schwertner Water Supply Corporation for construction
of an elevated storage tank and water well.
Personnel.
Recognize the selection of Precinct 1 Commissioner
Richard Cortese by Little River-San Gabriel Soil Conservation District for
the 2003 Person of the Year Award.
Recognize the selection of Joe Baisden by the Daughters
of the American Revolution for the 2003 Community Service Award.
Consider approval of grant submission for Victim of
Crimes Act (VOCA) for Bell County Juvenile Probation Department.
Consider approval of allocation and distribution of
Child Safety Fees to Cities in Bell County based on 2002-2003
Collections.
Consider authorizing Bell County H.E.L.P. Centers to
apply for United Way funding.
Consider awarding bid on performing repairs and
rehabilitation of columns at the Bell County Jail.
Consider awarding bid for the demolition and removal of
house at 120 North Blair in Belton.
