Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
January  12, 2004

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., January  12, 2004, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on January 12, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve minutes of January  5, 2004. 

  2. Receive update on grass fire and public safety hazard and consideration of adoption of Order Restricting Outdoor Burning. 

  3. County Engineer.

    1. Conduct Public Hearing regarding the closing of Neroc Road over the B.N. & S.F. Railroad tracks near Rogers, Texas. 
    2. Consider approval of an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Belton to prime the walkway/trail in the Quail Meadows Community Park Project. 
    3. Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the purchase of liquid asphalt, cold mix, hot mix, pit-run gravel and concrete. 

  4. Personnel.

  5. Consider approval of Interlocal Agreement with Kerr County for Mental Health Retardation and Chemical Dependency Commitment Hearings and Psychoactive Medication Hearings at Kerrville State Hospital. 

  6. Consider approval of Rapid Response System Cooperative Working Agreement with Lone Star Legal Aid in support of a Violence Against Women Act continuation grant from the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office. 

  7. Consider approval of City of Temple 5-Year Tax Abatement Agreement for 15 Main Ltd. for property located at 15 North Main Street in Temple and located within the boundaries of Temple's Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone No. 1, for which the County would not receive taxes from the increases in value of real property until the year 2022. 

  8. Consider approval of agreement with First Southwest Asset Management, Inc. for Arbitrage Rebate Compliance Services. 

  9. Consider approval of Budget Amendment for the cost of repairs and rehabilitation of columns at the Bell County Jail.

  10. Claims.
