Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
February  09, 2004

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., February  09, 2004, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on February 09, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve minutes of February 2, 2004. 

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider awarding bids for the purchase of a Haul Trailer and Four Shredders. 
    2. Consider awarding annual bids for the purchase of Hot Mix, Cold Mix, Liquid Asphalt, Concrete, and Pit-Run Gravel.  

  3. Personnel.

  4. Recognize Tina Entrop of the County Auditor's Office on passing the State of Texas Certified Public Accountant Examination and her designation as a C.P.A. 

  5. Consider Annual Renewal of Law Enforcement Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 2004 Lake Patrol Program.  

  6. Consider analysis prepared on hauling costs on county construction projects. 

  7. Consider approval to accept Texas Task Force on Indigent Defense grant in the amount of $102,081.00.

  8. Consider approval of amendment to COPO, Inc. Management Agreement regarding maintenance services to the Juvenile Detention Center and Juvenile Facility. 

  9. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise a Request for Qualifications for architectural services for three projects which include renovation of the Tax Assessor and Auto Registration Office, building renovation for document storage, and completion of Communication Center wing for training.

  10. Consider agreement with Leggette Actuaries/Consultants for actuarial services of post employment benefit in compliance with GASB-34 requirements. 

  11. Consider renewal of agreement with Vertex to assist with services eligible for Federal Financial Participation including:  National School Lunch Program, Juvenile Services' Enhanced Title IV-E Administration, Title IV-E Legal Support and State Criminal Alien Assistance Program.    

  12. Claims.
