Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
February 23, 2004
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., February
23, 2004,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on February 23, 2004, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve minutes of February 9 & 20, 2004.
County Engineer.
- Consider awarding bids for the sale of four (4) railroad flatcars.
- Consider approval of the Final Amended Plat of Lots 16-19, Block 2, Mill
Creek Springs, Phase III.
- Consider Road & Bridge Department Annual Report for 2003.
Personnel.
Recognize Linda Green with a Certificate of Appreciation
for service as a Board Member on the Bell County Exposition Center Board
from 1992-2004.
Consider certification of the Killeen Liquor Petition
and the adoption of an order calling for an election on May 15, 2004 for
the Killeen Liquor Proposition.
Consider adoption of an order calling for an election in
the amount of $ 46,000,000.00 on May 15, 2004 for the jail/courts
complex.
Consider approval of a joint election agreement with the
City of Killeen for the May 15, 2004 election.
Consider financial support of 4ID Welcome Home Ceremony
and related budget amendment.
Consider approval of Amendment to EMS Service Contract
with Scott & White Hospital.
Watch University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's new promotional
video.
Reconsideration of implementation of $15.00 Family
Protection Fee pending results of AG Opinion request.
Consider setting date of April 24, 2004 for County
Auction.
Consider determination of sole source exemption for
purchase from Dictaphone of radio recorder system for Communications
Center.
Consider purchase of replacement postage machine and
related budget amendment.
Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise a
Request for Qualifications for construction manager services.
Consider authorizing County Judge to bid on purchase of
Lot 3, Block 7, Original Town, City of Belton, also known as 201 N. Main,
Belton, Texas.
Consider response on TCEQ hearing on pending application
by WCID #1.
