Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
May 24, 2004
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., May 24, 2004,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on May 24, 2004, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve minutes of May 17, 2004.
County Engineer.
- Recognition Letter for customer satisfaction.
- Receipt of 2003 Safety Award from the Texas Association of Counties,
Bell County being 1 of only 37 entities honored this year.
Announce award from the Governor's Office of State
Homeland Security Program Funding grants of federal funds to Bell County
in the amount of $420,306.00 for equipment upgrades at Bell County
Communications Center and $800,000.00 for regional cooperative needs of
Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Mills and San Saba Counties coordinated
through the Central Texas Council of Governments, with the funding to be
used for equipment, security planning and training to improve homeland
security preparedness.
Announce appointment of Rita Kelley, Director of Bell
County Human Services-Killeen, to the Texas Health and Human Services
Commission Task Force on Local Health Care Initiatives.
