Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
June 21, 2004

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., June 21, 2004, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on June 21, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

  1. Approve minutes of June 1, 10, 14 and 17, 2004.

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the following traffic control devices:
      1.  Install a 30 m.p.h. speed limit on Bear Branch Road;
      2.  Install a 30 m.p.h. speed limit on all roads in Crossland Estates Subdivision (Crossland Dr., Trails End
           Dr., Rolling Hills Dr., Cross Bend Dr. and Meadow Glen Dr.)
      3.  Install STOP sign on Rolling Hills Dr. at Crossland Dr. (Both Directions)
      4.  Install STOP sign on Rolling Hills Dr. at Trails End Dr.
      5.  Install STOP sign on Trails End Dr. at Crossland Dr.
      6.  Install YIELD sign on Cross Bend Dr. at Crossland Dr.
      7.  Install YIELD sign on Meadow Glen Dr. at Crossland Dr.    


  3. Personnel.

  4. Consider proclamation honoring Donna Hartman, upon her retirement from the City Council of Morgan's Point Resort, after 23 years of services - the last 6 as mayor, and designating June 14, 2004 as Donna Hartman Day in Bell County, Texas.  

  5. Consider approval of implementation of House Bill 136, codified in Tax Code Section 11.261 and approved by  constitutional amendment, providing for ad valorem tax limitation on residence homesteads of disabled and age 65 or older homeowners. 

  6. Consider adoption of order authorizing the issuance of Bell County, Texas Limited Tax Notes, Series 2004 in an amount not to exceed $30,000,000.00; authorizing the levy of an ad valorem tax; authorizing the Paying Agent/Registrar Agreement; and authorizing other matters related to the issuance of the Notes. 

  7. Consider approval to exercise the Option with the Development Corporation of Belton to purchase a 75.96 acre tract of land located on Loop 121 and south of Huey Road in Belton, Bell County, Texas.
