Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September 27, 2004
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., September 27, 2004,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on September 27, 2004, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve minutes of September 13, 2004.
County Engineer.
- Consider Final Approval of the Plat for Blassingame Subdivision, a
Three-lot, 6.51 Acre Development in the E.T.J. of The Village of Salado.
- Consider Preliminary Approval of the Plat for Walnut Creek Estates Phase
VI, a Six-lot, 32.375 Acre Development off of S.H. 195 in the E.T.J. of
the City of Killeen.
- Consider Authorizing County Engineer to Advertise for Annual Bids for
Culvert Pipes, Crushed Limestone Base and Reinforcing Steel.
Personnel.
Consider Order implementing Burn Ban.
Consider approval of Interlocal Agreement between Bell
County and the City of Copperas Cove supporting interoperability of each
entity's 800 MHz trunked radio system.
Consider Resolution approving Help America Vote Act (HAVA)
Grant Award Agreement with the Office of the Secretary of State of the
State of Texas regarding funding allocations of reimbursements up to
$9,000.00 for County Education Fund for professional election training for
county election officials; up to $129,000.00 for handicapped Accessible
Voting Systems in Each Polling Place; and up to $224,814.75 for General
HAVA Compliance such as replacement of lever voting machines.
Consider approval of revised Common Integrated Justice
System (CIJS) TechShare Project Addendum - Phase III to the Master
Interlocal Agreement with Texas Conference of Urban Counties.
Consider approval of Utility Installation agreement
between Valor Telecom and Bell County regarding boring under road to the
west side starting at 9693 Hunt Hill Road in the Rogers Exchange.
Consider annual review and approval of Investment Policy
for Bell County.
Consider report on annual audit of District Attorney's
Forfeiture Report.
Consider approval of 2005 Sheriff's fees, Constables'
fees, and other fees.
Consider approval of change of additional fee in Justice
Courts for Justice Court Technology Fund from $2.00 to $4.00.
Consider approval of proposed 2005 Holiday Schedule.
Consider annual appointment of a voting representative
to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) of the Central Texas Council
of Governments (CTCOG).
Consider ratification of Coryell County's appointment of
Ms. Gwen Ziegler for a two-year term on Board of Trustees for Central
Counties MHMR Center.
Consider approval of a Proclamation declaring October
4-8, 2004 as "Lawsuit Abuse Awareness Week."
Consider approval of a Proclamation declaring the month
of October as "Czech Heritage Month" in Bell County.
