Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 25, 2004
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 25, 2004,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on October 25, 2004, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve minutes of October 18, 2004.
County Engineer.
- Consider final approval of the Plat for Slough Subdivision, a 3-Lot,
12.45 Acre Subdivision off of Berry Road, in the E.T.J. of the City of
Temple.
- Consider awarding annual bids for the purchase of crushed limestone base
material, culvert pipes, and reinforcing steel.
- Consider results of the attempt to sell the flat car at Berger Road and
consider actions regarding the removal of flat cars sold off of Guyton and
Bottoms Roads back in February, 2004.
- Consider awarding bids for the sale of three motor graders.
- Consider awarding bids for the purchase of three motor graders.
- Consider awarding bid for the purchase of a new sign truck
replacement.
Personnel.
Consider approval of application for annual SB 7
Indigent Defense Grant from the Task Force on Indigent Defense in the
projected amount of $116,045.00 and designation of Authorized Official,
Program Director, and Financial Officer.
Recognition of Pct 3 Commissioner Leroy Schiller for his
receipt of the Dedicated Community Services Award from the Bell County
Judge and Commissioners' Committee on People with Disabilities at the
Annual Awards Banquet for his continuous dedicated public service.
Recognition of Bell County EXPO Center for its receipt
of the Award of Excellence from the Bell County Judge and Commissioners'
Committee on People with Disabilities at the Annual Awards Banquet in
recognition of the services and extended accommodations the staff and
facility have provided for persons with disabilities and for the receipt
of the Access for All decal from the Governors Committee for People with
Disabilities.
Consider authorizing County Judge to execute Deed under
Section 34.05(a) of the Texas Tax Code regarding property sold by the City
of Rogers, as Trustee, pursuant to tax sale (Tax Account Number 131573),
having the legal description of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Tucker Addition to
the City of Rogers, Bell County, Texas.
Consider approval of Professional Services Contract
between Bell County Help Center of Killeen and Central Texas Workforce
Development Board/Information and Referral System for staffing of 2-1-1
Information and Referral Call Center in Belton by Bell County Help Center.
