Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
February 07, 2005

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., February 07, 2005, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on February 07, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Approve minutes of January 31, 2005.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Receive and consider Annual Report of Road and Bridge Department Activities for 2004.

    2. Consider authorizing County Engineer to enter into limited agreements/contracts on behalf of the Commissioners' Court/Bell County for right of way and utility adjustments and engineering/testing of roads up to a maximum of $10,000.00 in costs per agreement/contract.

    3. Consider awarding bid for the construction of right of way fencing on Landfill Road, in Precinct 2.

    4. Consider preliminary approval of the Plat for Moffat Springs Addition, Phase Five and Six, a total of Fourteen Lots on 10.57 Acres in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple, in Precinct 3. 

    5. Consider rescinding the award of bid (No. 19-04) to Gunn Chevrolet in San Antonio, for a one-ton service truck for the sign crew and consider allowing the purchase of an additional one-ton pickup through the H.G.A.C. as was approved in Bid No. 24-04.


  3. Personnel.

  4. Consider approval of Weldon Whalen for the 4-H and Youth Development position in the Bell County Cooperative Extension Office.  

  5. Consider appointment of Pct 4 Commissioner John Fisher as a Board Member of Hill Country Community Action Advisory Board and Pct 3 Commissioner Eddy Lange as the Alternate Board Member.  

  6. Consider approval and acceptance of $25,000.00 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness planning grant from the Governor's Division of Emergency Management for use by the Bell County Local Emergency Planning Committee. 

  7. Claims.
