Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
May  02, 2005

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., May 02, 2005, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on May 02, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Approve minutes of April 25, 2005.

  2. County Engineer

    1. Conduct Public Hearing and consider Vacation/Abandonment of a portion of Peach Orchard Lane. (The East-West Leg.)   

    2. Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the following Traffic Control Device:  
      1.  Install 35 M.P.H. speed limit on Nolan Loop.

    3. Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the conversion of RAP (Recycled Asphalt Pavement) into cold mix. 

    4. Consider releasing Letter of Credit Numbers 443 and 444, First Texas Bank, in the amounts $4,200.00 and $1,000.00, respectively, for the maintenance of improvements and revegetation for Walnut Creek Estates, Phase IV. 

    5. Consider authorizing County Judge to sign the F.E.M.A. overview and concurrence form regarding the Bella Charca Subdivision in the City of Nolanville.  

  3. Personnel.

  4. Authorize County Auditor to advertise for bids for the purchase of a trailer mounted boom for Buildings & Grounds.   

  5. Consider authorization of renovations of HVAC system in the Bell County Old Post Office building at 200 North Main in Belton by, and at the expense of, Central Texas Workforce.    

  6. Claims.
