Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
May  16, 2005

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., May 16, 2005, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on May 16, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Approve minutes of May 9, 2005.

  2. Consider approval of the recommendation of the Board of Advisors of the Central Texas Narcotics Task Force to withdraw the Task Force from the Grant Program of the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office and to continue the operation of the Task Force independently.

  3. County Engineer

    1. Consider final approval of the Plat for Mill Creek Springs, Phase V, a 34-Lot, 24.924 Acre Subdivision in the E.T.J. of the Village of Salado.   

    2. Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 440, First State Bank Central Texas, in the amount of $30,265.00, for improvements in Heritage Subdivision, Precinct 2. 

    3. Consider approval of the Final Plat for Michel Acres, a 3-Lot, 0.785 Acre Subdivision off of Loop 121, in the E.T.J. of the City of Belton. 

    4. Consider approval of the Plat of The Oaks of Cedar Ridge, Phase II, a Two-Lot, 10.946 Acre Subdivision off of Oak Ridge Drive, Precinct 3.  

  4. Personnel.

  5. Recognize Victim Assistance Coordinator, Jill Hargrove, from the District Attorney's office for her receipt of the Pioneer Award from the Texas Crime Victims Clearinghouse.     

  6. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for requests for proposals for employee health and dental insurance.  

  7. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for Qualifications for a Licensed Asbestos Consultant Agency and Licensed Mold Assessment Company. 

  8. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids for road and bridge equipment as approved with the issuance of the Public Property Finance Contractual Obligations, Series 2005.

  9. Consider approval of Audit Engagement Letters for Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2005. 

  10. Consider authorizing County Judge to sign appropriate documents pursuant to Interlocal Agreement with the City of Belton dated June 10, 1997 to convey Lots 4-9, Block 47; Lot 1 and West 1/2 of Lot 2, Block 46; all in the Original Town of Belton back to the City of Belton.
