Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
August 08, 2005
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., August 08,
2005,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on August 08, 2005, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
Approve minutes of August 1, 2005.
County Engineer
Consider accepting Letter of Credit No. 324, in the amount of
$6,850.00, from Union State Bank, Florence, for the maintenance of
improvements in Iduma Trail Subdivision.
Consider accepting Letter of Credit No. 463 and releasing No. 458,
both from First Texas Bank, Killeen, and both in the amount of $18,000.00,
from improvements in Walnut Creek Estates, Phase 6.
Consider accepting Letter of Credit No. 462 and releasing No. 456,
both from First Texas Bank, Killeen, and both in the amount of $40,000.00
for improvement in McLean's Crossing, Phase 6.
Consider authorizing the purchase of a 24' Tractor-Mounted Brush
Cutter through H.G.A.C.
Consider awarding bid for the purchase of a Gradall XL-3100.
Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 599, First National Bank,
Killeen, in the amount of $7,922.40, for the maintenance of improvements
in Crossland Estates.
Personnel.
Consider status of Burn Ban.
Consider approval of the ratification of the
appointments by other counties of their nominees for the Board of Trustees
of Central Counties MHMR Authority, specifically, Dr. Forrest Harris of
Hamilton County for a one-year term, and Ms. Ann King of Milam County, and
Ms. Sue Faulkner of Lampasas County for two-year terms.
Receive report from County Attorney Rick Miller on his
research on the history of Bell County elected officials and
Commissioners' Court Minutes and acceptance of the report by the Bell
County Museum.
Consider approval of Resolution in compliance with new
Section 22.2041 to the Texas Government Code, effective September 1, 2005,
requiring the setting and collection of a fee of $5.00 for each civil
suit, except for suits for delinquent taxes, with the collected fees to be
forwarded monthly to the Third Court of Appeals for expenditures by the
Third Court of Appeals for its judicial system.
Consider approval of payment to Texas Department of
Transportation Bell County's 10% participation for U.S. Highway 190
Utility Adjustments from Coryell County line to SP 172 (Fort Hood Main
Gate), estimated to be $17,316.00.
Consider approval of Resolution authorizing a tax
abatement agreement passed by the City of Temple on July 7, 2005 with
Scientific Recycling, Inc. providing for a 25% tax abatement on real and
personal property with a useful life of ten or more years for a five year
period in accordance with the City of Temple's criteria and guidelines for
tax abatements, with the tax abatement of County taxes being less than
$1000 per year for five years.
Consider approval of Statement of Work for services from
SBI.Enteris, Inc. relating to establishing processes and workflows
necessary to support inmate healthcare invoice tracking and reporting
process.
Consider authorizing to request from proposals for
Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) for new District Courts Building
from four qualifying proposals
Consider and approve for grant match to USDA for sewer
project on Loop 121 with the City of Belton.
