Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September  19, 2005

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., September 19, 2005, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on September 19, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1.  Consider approval of minutes of September 12, 2005. 

  2. County Engineer

    1. Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the following Traffic Control Devices:

      1. Install YIELD signs on Briggs Road and Wolfridge Road (two locations)

      2. Install 35 M.P.H. speed limit on Asa Road

      3. Install 45 M.P.H. speed limit on Arthur Cemetery Road from F.M. 438 to Connection Road

      4. Install 50 M.P.H. speed limit on Arthur Cemetery Road from Bottoms East to Connection Road

    2. Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the following equipment and materials:

      1. Three (3) Water Tanks

      2. Reinforcing Steel (annual)

      3. Base Material (annual)

      4. Culvert Pipes (annual)

      5. Oil and Grease (three-year agreement)

    3. Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 463, First State Bank Central Texas, in the amount of $7,500 for the improvements in Shiloh Terrace Phase II.

    4. Consider authorizing the sale of two railroad flatcars located on Big Elm Creek Road.  


  3. Personnel.

  4. Consider Declaration of Local Disaster under Section 418.108 of the Texas Government Code, Texas Disaster Act, as of the Governor's Disaster Declaration on September 1, 2005 and continuing. 

  5. Claims.
