Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
April 10, 2006
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., April 10,
2006,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on April 10, 2006, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider
approval of minutes of April 3, 2006.

County Engineer
-
Personnel.
-
Consider Proclamation designating the week of April 9, 2006
as Telecommunication Week.
-
Consider approval and ratification of 2006 Juror fees as per
FY 2006 Budget and SB-1704 effective January 1, 2006 amending Section 61.001
of the Texas Government Code.

Consider approval and designation of the County Treasurer,
Charles Jones, and Assistant Treasurer, Melissa Vrabel, as authorized to
sign claims for reimbursement from the Texas Comptroller for juror fees
pursuant to SB-1704 and Section 61.0015 of the Texas Government Code from
fees collected by the County and remitted to the State Comptroller.

Consider approval of First Amended Annual Maintenance Grant
Contract to Texas VINE Annual Maintenance Grant Contract between Bell County
and the Office of the Attorney General of Texas and approval of Service
Agreement with Appriss, the certified vendor, increasing the funds available
from $24,802.00 to $28,037.00 for automated victim notification services.

Consider report and update from Garry Kimball of First
Southwest Company on financing options, alternatives, and recommendations to
fund FY 2006 Capital Projects and discussion of long-term effects of leasing
jail beds on tax rate and financial condition.

Consider approval of Amendment No. 4 to the Owner/Architect
Agreement for Bell County Justice Center to go forward with new jail
addition at the Loop 121 Site, adding approximately 630 to 670 beds to
existing jail bed inventory, development of Master Plan, and setting
financial parameters.

Consider approval of a nominee to the Board of Public Power
Pool, the electric power purchasing aggregation of the Conference of Urban
Counties.

Consider approval of a Statement of Work with sbi.enteris
for SB 1863 Collections Project for professional services to develop
collection processes and support documentation in compliance with SB 1863.
