Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
July 24, 2006

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., July 24, 2006, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  July 24, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1.  Moment of Silence in memory of Jim D. Bowmer, Bell County Attorney from July 1, 1946 to August 18, 1947 and private attorney and counselor to Bell County for over six decades, who died on July 20, 2006. 

  2. Consider approval of minutes of July 17 & 18, 2006. 

  3. County Engineer

    1. Consider Preliminary Approval of the Plat for The Creeks of Salado, Phase I, a 36-Lot, 101.19 Acre Privately Maintained Road Subdivision off of Sulfur Wells Road. 

    2. Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the Hydro Mulching of County right of ways in new construction projects. 

  4. Personnel.

  5. Introduction and consideration of approval of candidate for Natural Resources position in the Bell County office of the Texas Cooperative Extension. 

  6. Consider approval of Burn Ban - Order Restricting Outdoor Burning.

  7. Consider approval of Change Order Number 5 for the Bell County Museum/Guffy Building Renovation, in the amount of a $10,151.00 decrease. 

  8. Consider approval of Change Order Number 8 for the new Bell County District Courthouse, with no change in the Guaranteed Maximum Price. 

  9. Claims.
