Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
August 28, 2006

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., August 28, 2006, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  August 28, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Consider approval of Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Limestone County for the Housing and Care of Bell County Inmates at a per diem rate of $42.00 per day and other provisions. 

  2. In accordance with the laws governing such matters, the County Judge will present the FY 2006-2007 budget for Bell County and hold a Public Hearing thereon. 

  3. The Commissioners Court will discuss such budget; further, in accordance with the Texas Property Tax Code, the Court will discuss the tax rates for Bell County and Bell County Road District and hold the first of two Public Hearings on the tax rates. 

  4. The Commissioners Court will announce the date, time, and place of the second Public Hearing on the tax rates and announce the date, time and place for the approval of the budget and the tax rates, which will be: 

    1. September 1, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom -- the second Public Hearing on the tax rates.   

    2. September 11, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom -- the approval of the FY 2006-2007 budget for Bell County and the approval of Bell County's and Bell County Road District's Tax Rates for FY 2006-2007.

  5. Consider approval of minutes of August 14 and 21, 2006.

  6. County Engineer

    1. Consider Final Approval of Ryan Addition, Replat #1, a Replat of Lots 4-12, Ryan Addition, in the E.T.J. of the City of Nolanville.  

  7. Personnel.

  8. Consider re-appointment of Louella H. Tate of Killeen and Neal White of Salado to Board of Central Counties MHMR.

  9. Consider approval of Contact Addendum between Bell County and Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. to extend current contract under which Bell County furnishes Outreach and Referral Services. 

  10. Consider approval of Statement of Work between SBI Enteris, a subsidiary of Enterpulse, and Bell County for the professional resources to aid Bell County in the reimplementation of the interface functionality between the Jail Management System and Indigent Healthcare Solutions system.
