Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September 01, 2006
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., September 01,
2006,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on September 01, 2006, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

In accordance with the laws governing such matters, the
County Judge will hold the second of two Public Hearings on the tax
rates.

The Commissioners Court will announce the date, time and
place of the meeting at which the Commissioners Court will vote on the
approval of the FY 2006-2007 Budget and the proposed Bell County and Bell
County Road District tax rates, which will be:
-
September 11, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom
-- the approval of the FY 2006-2007 budget for Bell County and the approval
of Bell County's and Bell County Road District's Tax Rates for FY 2006-2007.
-
Consider approval of the selection of Construction Manager
at Risk for the Jail Addition project and authorizing the negotiating of a
contract for those services.
-
Consider authorizing the use of $10,000.00 in budgeted funds
for the Bell County HELP Centers as matching funds for a 6:1 match with
funds provided by TXU to provide assistance to eligible applicants in making
electric utility payments.

Consider approval of the donation of an emergency light bar
to the Moffat Volunteer Fire Department for use on their brush tanker and a
determination that the light bar is no longer needed in the Road &
Bridge Department.
