Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 10, 2006
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 10,
2006,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on October 10, 2006, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of October 2, 2006.

County Engineer.
-
Conduct Public Hearing and consider abandonment/vacation of
a portion of Bunny Trail.
-
Consider acceptance of Cashier's Check No. 4867927003,
Compass Bank, in the amount of $1,512.65 for maintenance of improvements on
Liberty Oaks Phase I.
-
Consider awarding bid for the purchase of a 90" Motor Grader
Attachable Roller/Packer.
-
Consider sale of four (4) Motor Graders for which bids were
opened on October 3, 2006.
-
Personnel.
-
Receive report from County Sheriff Dan Smith on current
status of jail overcrowding.

Consider approval and ratification of the appointments of
Margaret Harris of Hamilton County and James Kanzenbach of Coryell County,
for two-year terms on the Board of Trustees for Central Counties MHMR
Center.
-
Consider approval of the appointment of County Court-at-Law
#3 Judge Gerald Brown to serve on the Bell County Bail Bond Board to replace
County Court-at-Law #2 Judge John Barina, whose term expired.

Consider ratification and approval of changed Precinct
Voting location and appropriate submission to Department of Justice for 2006
General Elections for the following Precinct:

Precinct 209 - From Fire Station #2, 3207 Stillhouse Lake
Road to St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church, 1000 E. FM 2410, Harker
Heights, Bell County, Texas.
Set date and time of Saturday, October 21, 2006 form 3:00
p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for Open House and Dedication of new Bell County
Justice Center/District Courts Complex.
Consider awarding bid for a security camera system for the
Juvenile Detention Center.
Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids
for vehicles for the following offices:
