Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 23, 2006
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 23,
2006,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on October 23, 2006, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of October 16, 2006.

County Engineer.
-
Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the
vacation/abandonment of approximately 0.084 acres of West Drive, Lakewood
Terrace Subdivision.

Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the
following Traffic Control Devices:
-
Install 30 MPH speed limit on West Cliff Road.
-
Install 30 MPH speed limit on Spring Meadow Lane, Spring
Meadow Subdivision.
-
Install 40 MPH speed limit on Solana Ranch Road from Prairie
Dell Church Road to the Williamson County Line.
-
Install 35 MPH speed limit on Southerland Road from Vaughn
Road to Moody Road.
-
Install 30 MPH speed limit on Southshore Drive, South View
Drive, and South Bend Drive, Southshore Subdivision.
-
Consider Final Approval of the Plat for W.S. Hawkins Addition, a
Two-Lot, 3.63 Acre Subdivision in the E.T.J. of the City of Belton, fronting
onto F.M. 436.
-
Consider Preliminary Approval of the Plat for Shiloh Terrace,
Phase 3, a 35-Lot, 26.158 Acre Development in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple.
-
Consider Preliminary Approval of the Plat for Chisholm Oaks, a
12-Lot, 24.686 Acre Development in Precinct 3.
-
Consider awarding annual bids for the purchase of base material,
aggregate, reinforcing steel and culverts.
-
Personnel.
-
Consider status of rain received in the county and whether Burn Ban
Order should be re-issued.

Consider election on whether to participate or not regarding
State use of Homeland Security Funding for State-wide local projects.

Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids
for vending services for county facilities.
-
Consider presentation by First Southwest Company of
Sufficiency Letter pertaining to Scott & White Series 2006 Financing.

Consider approval of Resolution of Commissioners Court of
Bell County, Texas Accepting Report of First Southwest Company Pertaining to
the Issuance of Bonds; and Providing an Effective Date.

Consider approval of an Order Approving the Issuance of
Bonds by the Bell County Health Facilities Development Corporation to
Finance the Cost of Health Facilities for Scott & White Memorial Hospital
and Scott, Sherwood and Brindley Foundation and With Respect to a Public
Hearing.
