Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 30, 2006

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 30, 2006, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  October 30, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Consider approval of minutes of October 23, 2006.   

2. County Engineer.

1. Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the following Traffic Control Devices:

1. Install 30 MPH speed limit on West Cliff Road.

2. Install 30 MPH speed limit on Spring Meadow Lane, Spring Meadow Subdivision.

3. Install 40 MPH speed limit on Solana Ranch Road from Prairie Dell Church Road to the Williamson County Line.

4. Install 35 MPH speed limit on Southerland Road from Vaughn Road to Moody Road.

5. Install 30 MPH speed limit on Southshore Drive, South View Drive, and South Bend Drive, Southshore Subdivision. 

2. Consider accepting Letter of Credit No. 483, First State Bank, Killeen, in the amount of $2,600.00 for maintenance of improvements in Walnut Creek, Phase 6 and releasing Letters of Credit No. 458 & 463, in the amount of $18,000.00.

3. Consider Final Approval of the Plat for Walnut Creek, Phase 7, a 20-Lot, 41.36 Acre Development off of F.M. 2670, in the E.T.J. of the City of Killeen and acceptance of Letter of Credit No. 482, First Texas Bank, Killeen, in the amount of $13,750.00 for maintenance of the improvements.

4. Consider Final Approval of the Plat for Chaparral West, Phase 4, a 51-Lot, 34.505 Acre, Pct. 4 Development off of Chaparral, in the E.T.J. of the City of Killeen and acceptance of Letter of Credit No. S28190T, Compass Bank, Houston, Texas, in the amount of $25,000.00 for maintenance of the improvements. 

5. Consider Final Approval of the Plat for Camden Est., a 1-Lot, 1 Block, 8.42 Acre Development, at the corner of Link and Donahoe, Pct. 1.

3. Personnel. 

4. Consider report from Sharon Long, Tax Assessor/Collector concerning Child Safety Fee Allocations to Bell County and Bell County Cities for fees collected from October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006 and approval of distribution.

5. Consider approval of construction proposal from Jamil Construction for renovations at the North Annex in Belton and approval of budget amendment. 

6. Consider awarding the bid for the Transporting of Bodies for Autopsies and First Call Services.

7. Consider approval of Annual Membership in the National Safety Council to allow Bell County employees to complete Defensive Driving Courses on-line, with total cost for membership, training and certificates for up to 251 employees not to exceed $6,032.50
